Hello! I’m Elsa Payton. In my work I attempt to preserve moving human moments, the tenderness and sparks of personality that we might miss if we aren’t watching closely, and to connect the viewer with these moments as a reminder of our shared humanity. The way a grandmother gazes at her sleeping grandchild, the mischievous glint in a little boy’s eyes, a baby’s softness and curiosity, the wise experience of seasoned professional– I hope to immortalize these beautiful details as the essence of human experience.  While I aim for accuracy and realism, I am mostly concerned with painting the character of the moment by transforming its light and color into a living experience.
